However you look at it,
the right parts matter
Ford Parts fit and function.
Ford Collision Parts are the same as the parts that came new with your vehicle. Like the original, they are specifically engineered to meet Ford specifications for everything from fit and finish to corrosion protection and durability. Beyond looking right, fitting right and working right, Ford Parts are also the only repair parts that come backed by Ford.
Ford Parts maintain vehicle integrity.
Keeping the integrity of your Ford after a collision is something you can count on when the repairs are made with Original Ford Parts. These are the parts that have the same Ford research, testing and engineering behind them, the parts that ensure your Ford is again meeting the safety standards to which you are accustomed. There is simply no substitute for safety and the confidence that comes with it.
You can rely on Ford repair expertise.
Only Ford Certified Collision Network (FCCN) centers have the tools, equipment and training it takes to return your Ford to pre-collision condition. FCCN repair centers also have convenient access to approved original equipment repair procedures, a technical support hotline and repair process consultation directly from Ford. For a quality, safe repair, the choice is obvious – go with an FCCN repair center.
The importance of an integrated parts system.
Collision replacement parts have to do more than just work, they have to work together. Even one non-Ford part among the thousands on your vehicle can compromise the safety and performance systems. To keep everything operating the way it was designed, make sure every collision replacement part you choose is from Ford.
The promise of original
Original Ford Collision parts are designed and engineered specifically for your Ford vehicle. Each Ford Part is:
- Built to maintain the quality, safety and integrity you expect as a Ford owner
- Tested thoroughly to work with other parts in your vehicle as a system
- Guaranteed to meet high governmental safety and quality standards
Choosing Original Ford Parts is more than wise, it may even be a requirement.
Ford Credit Red Carpet Lease – The standard agreement requires that all collision replacement parts must be Original Ford Parts.
Ford New Vehicle Service Warranty and Ford Protect Extended Service Plan – Both cover the replacement of Original Ford Parts with Original Ford Parts so long as problems are not caused by the use of alternative parts.
Whether your Ford vehicle is a lease, a new purchase or has some years on it, choosing Original Ford Parts is the best way to keep your Ford a Ford after a collision. Consider that a promise.
The Ford Collision Parts Difference

Aftermarket Parts
What you don’t want to see listed with the parts on your collision estimate:
- Automotive Replacement
- New Aftermarket
- Competitive Parts
- Copy Parts
- Like Kind and Quality
- Quality Replacement Parts
Aftermarket collision auto parts can have issues with fit, finish and durability. Unlike Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, aftermarket parts aren’t tested as part of a system during the vehicle development process and may not meet the same standards as new OEM collision parts.

Salvage Parts
The most common names used on estimates for salvage parts taken from a wreck:
- Reconditioned (Recon)
- Recycled
These are parts taken from a wrecked vehicle and used to replace parts on your vehicle. Damaged parts from your own vehicle can also be salvaged and reused after an accident. Metal or other components could be weakened or compromised and may not offer the same fit and finish as a new original part.

Counterfeit Parts
They will look like real parts, and will even have the Ford logo. Counterfeit auto parts have become an issue of public safety for the FBI, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Homeland Security. It’s hard to tell where these fake parts come from, and you probably won’t know if these parts are used in your vehicle. Eliminate this risk by finding a trustworthy collision center and always insisting on new original collision parts.
If you believe you’ve been a victim of counterfeit parts, you can file a complaint with Ford Brand Protection.
